Biomechanics Lab Personnel

Daniel F. Massimini, MS

Daniel joined the Bioengineering Laboratory at the Massachusetts General Hospital in the fall of 2005 after receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. He completed his master's degree in the fall of 2008 and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The focus of Daniel's research at the Shoulder Research Laboratory at the Massachusetts General Hospital is to quantify the in-vivo coupled scapulothoracic kinematics of the shoulder joint. The results from his research could help identify factors that cause the onset of osteoarthritis in the shoulder joint after traumatic insult.
